Resident district expectations

It shall be the district's responsibility to provide a liaison to work with students who will become knowledgeable in the college's admissions criteria, academic procedures, academic regulations, and support services that apply to dual enrollment students. Further, the liaison will work with EWC college personnel with respect to student enrollment and course participation. The College's Outreach Coordinator will facilitate course registration, textbook purchases (as necessary), and serve as an exam proctor (if necessary) for the distance education classes. Typically physical space and appropriate technology is also available at the service area high schools. The Outreach Coordinator works closely with the high school principals, counselors, or other liaisons to ensure that all facets and details are handled. For students in Goshen County, registration is handled by the Torrington campus personnel.

The EWC personnel and/or Outreach Coordinators will communicate the expectations to the liaisons at the high schools.

Conflict resolution

Regular EWC policies and procedures shall apply to any conflict resolution situation. Since high school students are minors, they will be encouraged to sign an information release form so that appropriate information can be shared with parents, guardians, districts, or school administrators. College catalogs will be made available to all students which include references to college policies and practices.
