Resident district expectations

The district will identify a Dual Enrollment Contact. This person will be the point of contact at the high school on matters related to dual enrollment. Duties will include coordinating the appropriate paperwork from students. The Dual Enrollment Contact and CWC BOCHES director will also work to identify and propose dual enrollment opportunities for students, as appropriate. It is expected that resident district personnel provide the student with the best possible instructional support and mentoring as any other student in the district. For the online learning environment, it is expected that the resident district provide reasonable access to the Web during and possibly after school.

The BOCHES director is responsible for the Dual Enrollment program and communicates regularly with counselors and principals in the CWC service area high schools via email, phone, and personal visits. Additionally, the college hosts an annual meeting for high school instructors in the service area and their CWC counterparts to discuss issues in delivering post-secondary options to high school students.

Conflict resolution

Dual enrollment students enjoy the same rights and benefits of any CWC student. Conflict resolution is outlined in the CWC catalog (available in print or online). Dual enrollment students' privacy is protected under FERPA regulations, so high school students are encouraged to complete and submit a "Release of Information" form to allow communication with parents.
